“The financial crisis is hitting borrowers in Europe and North America, leading to late payments on loans, foreclosures, and in the US, homeowners stopping payments and walking away from their houses or waiting to be evicted while squeezing a few more months of payment-free housing out of their banks. Banks, which had not focused much on debt collection during good times, are now paying close attention, and banking software companies are moving into the opportunity, often recasting their credit sales decisioning or customer relationship management packages to meet the new demands.”
